I use it. love it. doesn't really serve a purpose but it's nice to use and see your music habits. the radio could be cool but I use the Pandora internet radio which I like a lot better than the last.fm radio

yeah tried it but really couldn't get my station to my liking. i've had much better luck with pandora. the difference between the two is last.fm tries to predict what songs you like based on other users whose ratings are similar to yours. pandora tries to play songs that thave the same "sonic signature" to the songs you add to your station or rate thumbs up.

PandoraMan is also a nice program to use Pandora in a separate program so that you don't accidently close the web browser window/tab with the radio on. works great in conjunction with Airfoil

Hmm, I'd never heard about it before. But I just joined up and am listening to it right now. Not too impressed with the music it's giving me so far, but it looks like once I get home and can set it up with my iTunes at home it'll be much better.

I wish Apple would add Pandora support to iTunes.

Last.fm rocks. The point of it is absolutely not the radio. Pandora works heaps better for that. But it is great for keeping track of your own and your friends listening habits.

I don't get last.fm. I mean, I know what I am listening to. And I have a pretty good what my friends like without having to look it up on a web page.

What am I missing?

Heh, I just looked at my last few songs:

Blood, Sweat & Tears - Spinning Wheel
Common Children - Eyes of God
Stone Temple Pilots - Dead And Bloated
Primus - Professor Nutbutter's House of Treats
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Toadies - What We Have We Steal
Living Sacrifice - Distrust
Filter - So Cool
Rob Zombie - 17 Year Locust

Quite eclectic if may say so myself!

Pandora really, really works well. sorry I'm listening to it now and like just about every single song it's spitting out. I wish Last.fm could record what I am listening to or they used the pandora technology in their radio.

I also think it'd be nifty if you could check and see if you were listed in any artists' Top Fans list. as it is right now, you've got to check it yourself.
