Why'd they put it there? Now, seeing Larry Fishburne as Cowboy Curtis is cool and all, and the King of Cartoons has some good features, but man. I don't need to see Pee Wee after Futurama and before Family Guy, or after Family Guy and before Futurama. I just don't think I need it.
Hopefully they end the joke soon. How do you feel about it?

Pee Wee always disturbed me as a kid. I just saw 5 minutes of it the other night, and discovered that he still disturbs me.

Judging from the shows on Adult Swim that is their main audience.

Yes. He is still around, but he mostly uses his real name these days (Paul Reubens), and hasn't done anything Pee-Wee Herman related lately. They're showing reruns of the 1980's TV show on Adult Swim.

yes, he did.
yea, tooki, feedback to adult swim is important. they figure if a bunch of stoners can take time to leave feedback/emails etc, they should listen. and they do. I don't see it being on the air for too much longer.
robot chicken is heavenly though.

I remember he went to jail for a while, for wanking in public. Did he ever go to jail for the child porn thing?

Watching it again, I don't think I ever noticed how calculatingly psycotic Pee Wee's Playhouse is. There has to been some subliminal crap hidden in there somewhere.
But what would be really funny is if Adult Swim would redub all the voice dialogue, and make it a big spoof. Like they used to do way back when with the old space ghost and sea lab cartoons.
ps: peewee's playhouse takes on an entirely different persona when under the influence.

I'm tellin' ya, Adult Swim has run out of cartoons to syndicate, so now they're trying to find some Gen X show from when we were kids that might get ratings (remember the Saved by the Bell run they did a few months back?).
Give them some credit though. At least they didn't add more anime.

I'd love it if they aired the old Transformers cartoons. Even GoBots.

See, I think they're looking for funny shows though.
You're right, though, I'd love Transformers, though (GoBots. I'll pretend I didn't hear that.).

As I have said before, there's something wrong with Pee-Wee's Playhouse, and I believe there to be some sexual undertones that are not appropriate for a kid's show. And I agree, it's not something that should be mixed in with Futurama or even Family Guy.
I don't think it'll last long. From what I gather, the majority of viewers seem to feel the same way, though I may be off on that (hopefully not).

Well, the very first one WAS an adult oriented special on HBO…

Well, I was too young to register sexual over- or undertones when it was originally on. But it always just rubbed me the wrong way. Too whimsical. Too weird. Too perpetually smiling.

I now notice how much of a disjointed mish-mash so much of it is.
I must say, I never really cared for the genie character as a child, but now I just want to go American Psycho on him.
The Penny skits are still good, IMO, though.

OTOH, the Thundercats/Silverhawks outtakes are ridiculously hilarious! Hearing Mumm-Ra say, "Let me see your tits, my dear," never, ever gets old.
As far as Pee Wee goes, no one's mentioned Cyndi Lauper shrieking the theme song. "Come iiiiinnn and pull yourself up a chair..."

The only part of Pee Wee's Playhouse I can recall enjoying was the 5 seconds of claymation that intro'd the show.

I'd like to do a T-shirt with a picture of Cheetara that says "Thundercats Ho," but I don't think many people would get it.
