it looks like a spider but it was next to some towels i was drying off after using them at the lake.

sorry for the bad pic, my camera batteries just died. its legs are a light green and then big head thing or whatever is tan with brownish lines on it.

anyone?

looks like a spider -- but how many legs did it/does it have?

The "big head thing" is actually its abdomen. Spiders don't have separate heads, per se. And no, I don't recognize the type of spider, though I'm almost positive it is one.

The legs seem too long for a tick. I'd vote "spider" if I could count legs. And this isn't one you want around, in all probability-I can't name what species it is, but it has "negative characteristics" to its appearance, like flat body, wide abdomen... It looks "bad" is all I can say.
