It's just not realistic to see a fighter of his age (60) in the ring.

He looks amazingly fit for his age. Kind of looking forward to seeing it. Rocky IV is my favorite however.

That looks incredibly stupid.

Nonetheless, I have to watch it, when it comes out on DVD.

I will watch it as well. I have been hearing rumors about this movie for the past 5 or 6 years but I never thought it would actually make it. Dang, now I will have to buy a new set of Rocky movies to have a matching set again!

Excellent. I just haven't been able to share in people's hatred of Superman or Pirates. This is one I know I can loathe along with everyone else.

I think Stallone is a good actor, I really was happy to see First Blood on the tv a few days ago. I particularly liked his role in "Asassins". He's grown mature.

not to forget "Copland"

I think he's interesting, but I just with they would find age appropriate rolls. A man that's his age can do action rolls... even one where physical strength is a major part, but boxing??? Who knows... it does look a little interesting..

Also, Rocky III was the best... and Rocky IV was also good.

I don't know. I might see this movie since I've seen all of them. Just need to complete the series.

I think he actually paid for this out of his own pocket to make. Considering it was produced by a relatively small production company

well, it's good that the clip shows some doubts about his ability to compete... heh, calcium deposits. It might be interesting to rent. Looks more back to the basics then the other recent ones.

My bet is he'll lose, but will put up a valiant effort. ie. The original Rocky redux.

That would make the movie at least tolerable... possibly.

P.S. The best Rocky was the original of course.

Was hoping he wouldn't let it in with that crap that was Rocky V, but I can't see this being much better.

The fight goes like this.

Rd.1 - The "kid" comes out cocky, jabbing and sticking without any respect, and Rocky puts him on the canvas with the first punch. Kid gets up on the 6 count, a little rattled. Rocky Wins rd 1.

Rds. 2-7 - Rocky gets the **** beat out of him, with a few flashes of his old self.

Rd. 8 - Something remarkable happens, and Rocky takes the champ down again, maybe due to a lucky roundhouse. Rocky wins Rd 8.

Rd. 9-12 - Champ (the young guy) never completely recovers from Rd 8, and he likely has a concussion. However, he won't come out. He and Rocky split each round. End of fight climaxes with Rocky beating him relentlessly, but the younger boxer avoids the KO.

Rocky loses by split decision, but gains respect. They hug each other in the center of the ring.

Rocky shatters his hip the last round. Rolling on the mat, his trainer yells, "C'mon, Roc!" to which he responds, "Yo, I've fallen, and I can't get up."

Okay, just watched the trailer and I'm definitely going to see the movie. I grew up in a family that loved the series, so I've seen them all about a billion times. I've always been attached to the first one.

I read a guy's report on the script of Rocky Balboa, and he said the ending is going to blow everyone away. I can't vouch for the guy's legitimacy, and I don't have the link, so we'll just have to see.

Oh Rocky, I love you!

I love you!

I think it would be interesting if they killed off Rocky at the end. Legends die early. He's 60. LOL

They were going to kill him off in V...

But it's not like the series doesn't have a history of killing off characters.

Yet another actor tryng to reclaim past glory because no other movie offers have crossed his path. Sharon Stone tried it this past year and look how bad that movie flopped. I suspect this will be the same. A hollow and pale imitation of the original movie

I'm not going to waste my money on this, I didn't see his last rocky so why would I want to see this.

Yes its the same thing.

The actor doesn't have to shoulder the blame 100%, movie stuidios share in this aweful situation. They see past successes and want to make a sequel thinking they'll make a quick buck. The lack of originality and creativity is appalling, I mean with the price of a ticket now adays why should I spend it watching Rocky XXI or Indiana Jones IX.

btw I think harrrison ford is too long in the tooth to pull off the indiana ford character.

Complete the series? What are you talking about - the Rocky series ended years ago in the Soviet Union with the crowd chanting USA USA.

Rocky IV. Bad, bad movie. Haven't seen Rocky V.

The first three were in the right spirit and by the looks of the trailer of Rocky Balboa it will follow suit.

I want to see that virtual program pit Rocky (from III) vs Tyson when he was 18.

Winner fights Drago from Rocky V.

Winner of that match fights Ryu from SFII.

Ryu rules the world.

...blockbuster summer 2009 movie follows.

I can only imagine a video game designer is gonna snap this up...
