Anyone been to Vietnam? I`m heading there with two friends next month and thought I might get some fun filled tips from the MacNN crew. Any interesting places, events, or things I must do?

Catch a bus to Mu Nei beach from HCM city.
Book a room in Cocoa Beach for a few days, its great.

Good pizza in vietnam too.

Oh and don't bother buying books before you go, you will understand when you get there.

Hanoi > wonderful period French architecture, great cheap French food and a safe city for tourists compared to HCMC. See the locals walking around in their silk pajamas just before sundown.

One tip - when crossing a road in Hanoi, do not bother stopping for the traffic, because they will not! Take a deep breathe and walk out onto the road and do not stop, the traffic will find its own way around you without a fuss. Scary the first time you do it, then you wonder what the fuss is about.

Will you be in the south, north or central part of Vietnam???
I have been to Vietnam four times but I'm only familar with parts of the south.
One place I would suggest visiting is Nui Ba Den mountain just outside of Tay Ninh.

You should also visit the Cu-Chi tunnels outside of HCM city and take the tour. You will have to sit through a propaganda video before the tour.
Afterwards you can pay some money and shoot automatic weapons.
I suggest paying the money for a belt of bullets for the browning 30mm machine gun. (I think it's 30mm)Cu-Chi tunnel tour
