Why Would Anne Murray Remove Lyrics To Her Song?

You know when you get a song in your head and want to get to the heart of it and recall the artist and the lyrics?

I found the name of the little ditty sung by Anne Murray was, "Send A Little Love My Way."

But after checking a few websites I found notices that said things like, 'the artist has requested that the lyrics to this song be removed.'

I don't recall ever having seen anything like this.

Anyone have the 411?

It doesn't mean Anne Murray gives half a hump. It means some suit who is somehow associated with Murray (e.g., from the record label that recorded the album the song was on) decided his job was in trouble and wanted to show he makes a contribution.

I don't underestimate the asshole powers of suits. But for what purpose?

Why would that 'suit' pull THOSE lyrics and none of her others?

Could be any number of things. Maybe because that was the only one written by Henry Mancini, and somebody recently decided to publish a Henry Mancini songbook or something.
