I don't have the full story since I only saw half. It looks like some quality acting and some great special effects.

Network. Time. Well known actors. Plot or story or situation.

Otherwise it would be like my saying, "I just came from the back yard and saw this dandelion and it's pretty big. And I think it might get bigger."

Tell us why we should care. Sell us on it.

Know what I mean?

SciFi channel, Tuesdays @ 8, whole bunch of people I recognize but can't name, secret town that's home to the world's greatest minds. Secretly founded by Albert Einstein, it's been the birthplace of most of the last century's greatest advancements. And there's a new sheriff in town.

I really don't feel the need to sell anyone on it. I'm sure there are plenty of people around these parts that like sci-fi.

So, how would anyone know it was even sci-fi???

And if you didn't want anyone to know anything about it why even post about it???

Or maybe you've gone to one too many raves where the only way to know what, where or when is by word-of-mouth and anyone who bothers to ask has no right to know and you are just using MacNN as a way of giving the secret coded signal to those already in the know.

Ok, I get it!

Note to self: Start a thread, give it an ambiguous title and start the thread with a cryptically uninformative post and when Dakar genially comes asking me to be a bit more forthcoming about something that I obviously felt strongly enough about to start a thread on, make sure to rub Dakar's nose in it by making him go hunting to divine the significance of my thread/post.

EDIT NOTE TO SELF: Disregard petty minded attempt to make point this way. Only an agondonter will know what this means.

Its not uncommon for people to post about a tv show, movie, book, cd, etc. and people who know what they're talking about join in. In fact, that's pretty much how the forum runs.

I saw the episode last night... I enjoyed it... I have it set to record on my DVR... damn I love that thing!!! I also cought the show before it... "dead like me" kinda interesting too...

OH, if you dont already have a DVR GET ONE!!!!!

for those of you who have a concast DVR you can program a 30sec skip button onto it... once a commercial starts... press it 5-7 times and you are back to your show..

Haven't seen the show but it's not even shot in the town it's representing..Eureka, CA so boo on that. It's a beautiful place full of redwoods, nice people, pot, and trustafarians. It also never gets above 80°...ever.

I live two hours south of Eureka. From Mendocino north it's like that.

After watching both the pilot and first episode, it appears the pilot was filmed before the show got picked up. Not too surprising. But I'm not sure if a single location from the pilot has been used in the regular episode.

The sheriff station is different - no toy locker behind Jo's desk anymore, and the bars now lock the old fashioned way, with a key lock. Research HQ is a different building, with a different company name & logo. Walter's house was revisited by flashlight - perhaps to not show it's a different place?

Too soon to tell how the writing will hold up.
