Anyone else watch this garbage, I do, and ashamed to admit I actually enjoy it. Some of the acts are pretty good. I could do without singing acts though, save that for American Idol.

I'm so tired of reality shows... I realize they have been around for decades in the form of game shows etc. but it's just getting out of hand. I'm much more interested in well written shows at this point.

Just another note: I'm not completely against reality... it's just too dominant. There seems to be a mantra going around in NYC/Hollywood "If it's not reality... forget it"
P.S. Isn't Americas got talent just an updated Gong Show (1976-1980)?

It isn't really "reality". Just a bunch of folks doing some weird acts.

While I'm against yet-another-reality-show as much as the other guy, one has to remember that talent shows such as this (not reality shows like BB or survivor) has been around forever. It's just that the reality-wave made them popular (again) on TV.
They are cheap to produce and generate massive MASSIVE amounts of income.
