So here's a snippet of an article about a supposed recruiting violation involving Kentucky basketball:
"Fans are not allowed to interact with recruitable student athletes," Kentucky athletics spokesman Scott Stricklin said Wednesday. "We had to report that to the NCAA."
And I'm thinking, that's nuts! So if I'm a high schooler and one of my buddies is really good at basketball, and I'm a huge Illini fan, and I try to convince him to go to Illinois... that's a recruiting violation that needs to be reported to the NCAA? WTF?
