I think I might be having the increasingly infamous Macbook shutdown problem. It did it this morning on a wake from sleep. My situation is that a friend bought me this macbook because he could get the edu discount. In two week I will leave the country (UK), so I think I don't have time for Apple's lengthy repair process. Would Apple replace a machine that was not bought by the current owner?
