I have a compile of all the tech related sites I visit.

Go to www.tyler.mcadams.com

Click on "Forums I frequent"

If you're looking for IT related sites this could help you out a lot.

Isn't that a great site? Not to mention the only site for SGI. Not a bad Apple user group there too.

To read Slashdot comments, make sure you set your settings to a sane filtering level to weed out the trolls and noice.

I use threshold '4', 'nested', 'oldest first'.

Additionally, after creating a user account, you can specify which topics you see posts on the frontpage - helps in clearing out the clutter.

You brought this site back from the dead just to make my Safari hang for 45 seconds eh?

Your site becomes much less useful when it takes forever to load some cam that has nothing to do with anything on your site. Put a link to your cam on your main page, so it doesn't load/not load upon going to your site.

/end grumpy morning ice.

Sorry... as you can see I'm in the middle of a redo. I should have just given the forum url:

http://www.tyler.mcadams.com/forums.html

(That "hang" you got is something wrong with netidenity's servers actually.)

Tyler, you just resurected a thread from 2005 That's WAY older than six months-we have a rule about that, you know.

This thread? I must have not noticed sorry! I usually never go past the first page. Strange.

It was from November 2005, making it about 8 months ago...hardly WAY older than six months. And I have most definitely seen a mod resurrect a 7-8 month old thread and claim it's close enough to the rule.

No he didn't. A spambot trolling for keywords found the thread and added a post. I deleted that post, but not every following post. Tyler's mistake was not checking the dates of the post 2 above him.

Tyler...your site is a drag. Maybe just quote it here? I, like Ice, could have done without the freeze-up.

It also didn't render properly in Safari and it's taking forever to load in Camino. Not exactly user friendly, no matter whose fault it is.

I know. Sorry about that. I should not have quoted it in the middle of a rework.

Well that explains it. When I saw the post you deleted, either it didn't show a date or I didn't read it right, then Tyler's post was right after it...
