I need a suit for interview purposes. I don't want to spend more than $250 on it so nothing fancy. Yes, I know a suit lasts forever so might as well splurge a little, but I would like to spend only around $250. I would like the entire suit package including shirt, jacket, slacks, and maybe shoes. I guess I can buy the shoes elsewhere for the total price to be under $250 if necessary. I see menswarehouse.com has some decent suits for $269 exlcuding the shoes. I suppose that I can pice it out by buying this piece here and that piece somewhere else, but I would like the whole package so I know that it blends together (not much of stylish fashion person myself) so any other places would be helpful.

So you're seeking sartorial advice on macnn. This should be good for a few sweet laughs..

If I were you, I'd check out sites like Style Forum or AAAC

Thanks, but I just made a purchase. Got a suit at Menswarehouse (jacket, pants, shirt, tie) and a semi-casual outfit (pants, shirt, jacket), and a hanger for $580 including tax and they will be sending me a $50 check back so it comes to $530. Kind of pricy IMO, but it is my first new suit in 7 years.

I can't see the sense in buying a suit online, there are lots of places that have great prices (Harry Rosen's outlet store just outside of Toronto, for example) and you get the service of being fitted and then having the suit tailored just right. A suit just needs that sort of attention.

But I stress that is my own opinion on the matter, I hope it works out for you.

Believe it or not, the best shoes I have ever owned came from a Mens' Warehouse store. I'm the type of person who abhors formal wear (If I'm wearing a tie, it means either someone just died or I'm looking for a job!) But these were the first pair of shoes I've owned that didn't make my feet sore.

No, I physically went to Menswarehouse here; I just looked at the prices online. It is also going to be custom tailored to me also. I should get it by Friday.
