So, I just came back from Wendy's and noticed they introduced a new Vanilla Frosty™ this week. I throughly enjoyed it, but it was weird.

Anybody else try one?

Well, it's in most locations already, but not everywhere from what I understand. I think it just rolled out this past Monday, so it's brand-new.

Hey New Daddy-O!

Is it just a thick vanilla malt?

What's different about it from the previous one?

No, it's a thick vanilla shake. The difference from the other frosty is that it's vanilla. The first one is chocolate.

I don't get their decision to make it just THAT thickness (viscosity).

Too thick for a straw. Too shake-like to enjoy as real ice cream. But not ice creamy smooth when frozen.

Lots of people love it and it IS a Wendy's exclusive.

But, I don't get it.

It definately is a good mix, by that I mean the chocolate, the vanilla tastes weird, probably because i'm not used to it.

However the original frosty is really just a thick chocolate malt. That's why I'd expect this one to have malt as well...

I do consider it more of a malt-type beverage, but it's got a great "homemade" vanilla flavoring to it.

There's no malt in any of the frosties. I love malt and have never tasted any hint of malt flavoring in a frosty.

Milk, Sugar, Cream, Nonfat Dry Milk, Corn Syrup, Whey, Cocoa, Dextrose, Guar Gum, Cellulose Gum, Mono and Diglycerides, Carrageenan, Disodium Phosphate, Artificial and Natural Flavors. CONTAINS: MILK.

Some Wendy's used to sell chocolate chip cookies and Frostys, but now they all sell chocolate and vanilla Frostys and no cookies. This fills my heart with sorrow as I deeply enjoyed their cookies.

There's no malt in a Frosty™, just chocolate (and now vanilla). A malt includes malt powder, which has a specific taste all its own.

Up until recently, Starbucks had malt as a flavoring. A Mocha Frapuchino™ with malt makes one GREAT drink. But, sadly, the coffee masters decided that it wasn't enough of a draw, so they dropped malt. Sigh...

The 'original' frosty was a blend of chocolate and vanilla. It was decided that the vanilla would take the edge off *just* chocolate so the flavor of the rest of the meal wouldn't be overpowered.

The way I understand it is the vanilla is the base and you can add stuff like M&M's and other candy. The vanilla Frosty was decent but I can't wait to try it with some candy.

As Jim Paradise aptly pointed out, "Option-2."

OR...

In Safari click on "EDIT."

Then in the pull down menu click on, "Special Characters..."

In the "Character Pallette" search for the symbol you wish.

I found ™ on line 2120 of the UNICODE TABLE.

Wendy's is good for a fast food place, but Chick-Fil-A is the best.

Lemon (Meringue) Pie > Frosty

Not around here-they were required to pull it as of July 31. I asked... Every one in the area that I get anywhere near "no longer offers" malt. Still sad.

How's the stomach? Did you eat something that didn't agree with you, or are you really sick?

had the vanilla frosty yesterday. it tasted wonderful!
no stomach problems either.

Wendys definately needed this in their food lineup. now all they need are better buns for their sandwhiches (like McDs) and ill be satisfied with their restaurant.
