Well, I send in my laptop for repair a month ago which is covered by applecare. Well, still haven't gotten it back yet.

I must break some sort of record for the slowest applecare turnaround time.

Did you call? Do they still actually have it? Was it lost?
Seems a bit odd (more than a bit!), actually.

Yes, I called. They said they are still waiting for the part, which happens to be the motherboard. 1 month to get a replacement motherboard.

They won't want to dismantle a good one, so If they can't find or repair one for you, you 'might' get an upgrade!

I wish. They said the new motherboard should be in soon and have it repaired and sent back to me this week.

hyteckit, I would call again and calmly explain that a month is unacceptable. Then ask to speak with the persons manager...work it up the food chain calmly and professionally and you should get results...

A month is waaaay too long..

A month is pretty freakin' long. I'm amazed they don't have spare AlBook motherboards around.

Called Apple today and they told me they are waiting for the new MacBook Pros, so they can ship me one.

Okay, just wishful thinking. Still waiting.

I'm going into week 4 of a MacBook logic board/case replacement.

NOT HAPPY!

At least you can take some sort of solace, maybe, in that yours wasn't a brand new machine. Apple's had my MacBook longer than I have!!!!!
