Jack Sheldon is a great and legendary jazz trumpet player, has a great sense of humor, has been in films and TV, doing voices and voice overs in TV/Movies and commercials, he even starred in a 1960's sitcom, "Run Buddy, Run" (He was Buddy.)

And he still appears locally in the Southland.

A cool place for hot jazz seven nights a week, Jax is a legend on Brand Boulevard. As you enter, you feel as though you have left L.A. and arrived in New York or Chicago. Once inside, you find a dark, wood-and- brass-accented room which is sure to be filled with happy people. Jazz is what Jax is all about, but the food keeps folks coming back to dine and relax with the soulful, sweet tunes that have made this place famous. Steaks, seafood specials, crab cakes, and an assortment of pastas give the customer a good range of both price and selection. Visiting Jax Grill, you'll find a bar & grille that serves American dishes with a menu dominated by seafood and steaks. Expect the average entrée to cost $8 to $12.
Eating & Drinking: Open for lunch and dinner.A full selection of alcoholic beverages are served. You'll find that there a seated bar inside.
