It's $30 extra for an Environmental custom plate, but it looks like a generic CA plate. In all it interchanges between $93 and $122 a year (there's some other fee that pops in every other year.) That's the one I got. It's about $70 more for a custom plate for the other charities. Kids, Memorial, Costal, Tahoe, Yosemite, Arts (my 2nd pick), Veterans, Firefighters, there're whole bunch of different plates you can choose from. You can even get a custom plate with your college's emblem on it. So if you get one of those, I'd wager about $175 a year to renew.

California may be a funky state, but we have kickass license plates.

I just went onto the DMV website and tried it, and it was available. So I snagged it.

Maybe Steve didn't need it anymore cuz he has that jet.

I think Steve's plate probably says "MY APPLE"

And he probably made the DMV make the "MY" part bold, italic and underlined for emphasis.

I'd love to try and get OS X or something on my plate I bet it's taken though. Do you know if there's a plate registry for each state, or if it's nation wide or world wide or what?
