I am so amazed that video effects could be so trivial with this application!

on the .mov page I get a QT "Q" with a question mark

and on the .qtz page, I get "The downloaded composition is unsafe and cannot be run inside WebKit"

The MOV is for you to click on, and the result should be inmedately viewed in your browser.
The QTZ is for you do download, and open in Quartz Composer if you wish to change it.

Perhaps I need to upload the JPGs that were made to create it. I thought they would be incorporated.

Nope, firewire iBot. I had a firewire webcam back when Macs topped out around 500MHz.
