Only in that dancing keeps you in shape and being in shape can help in bed.

Send the chick in the yellow skirt and the chick in the yellow dress around to my house and I'll let you know in about a week:

The ten-year olds freak me out.

I had almost forgot about this song. It isn't as annoying now as it was fifteen years ago. Then again it isn't played every five minutes now.

Nice. Brazilian?

I guess if you look at it from a western perspective as touted by the newspapers of the time, it's a bit freaky. But not if you just see it as them having fun (rather than there being any sexual content). 10-year-olds need holiday romance too! (and *not* Faliraki-style... ...I said "romance". )

I hate the Perreo now, but I loved the Lambada (and that video too) back then, when I was 13. How old were you?

I once heard that there is a correlation between how a person eats and how they are in bed.

I believe it to :o

Yep, it is Portugese.

[edit again: it is originally Bolivian]

Apparently the song La Lambada was plagiarized by this French/Brazilian group Kaoma, but is originally by the Bolivian folk music group Los Kjarkas.

Um.. dancing has a lot to do with getting to sex. Rythm and sensing the partner helps sex. Also helps dancing. (my input to the thread)

Yes, because better dancers tend to be more uninhibited--which can translate to better sex. inhibitions tend to make sex mechanical and boring so get yer groove on.

I'm thinking that it's more to do with rhythmic motion (and the translation of that motion to the *cough* bedroom), rather than inhibitions. Even bad dancers can be uninhibited.

Have no fear, gentlemen. Those of you who are bad dancers can use another tried and tested means of luring your intended victim beneficiary to you. Simply tie many 150 gram bars of chocolate to your belt before dancing commences.

Oh. I thought you were on about the chicks. I have zero clue about languages, other than the fact that I don't like Welsh.

Absolutely not. I'm a terrible dancer, but I'm FANTASTIC in bed. Well I should qualify that - I always enjoy sex, but my partners have never really seemed all that into it.

Reminds me of a joke my old boss once told me:

On my wedding night when my wife saw me naked for the first time she laughed at me and said "And who do you think you are going to please with that little thing?" I said: "Why, ME of course!"
"Altruism is killing America. We who want to save America must repudiate this killer, root and branch. We must understand and explain to others that the acceptance of altruism necessitates the violation of individual rights... and that the arguments for altruism are baseless..."

I don't know about dancing and sex, but driving and sex definitely have a co-relation.

Hm...I suppose that means I'm fast, rough, and dangerous

I've heard that good public speakers are better in bed. Sounds like the 'more assertive' again.

Directly? Probably not. But dancing certainly develops a person's physical fitness, sense of rhythm, and ability to sense the movements and responses of one's partner. All of these things can translate well to... err... more horizontal pursuits.

Doofy, that's some yellow dress!

I think that dancers have a better chance of being more well coordinated and thus less clumsy with another person, but being a good dancer only says you're a good dancer.

Gossamer, marching band geeks get a LOT of exercise and have to do a LOT of pretty physical moves. That can't hurt! But see my statement above-they may have rhythm and be fit, but that's not the same as "good in bed."

Isn't a question of rythm.

And if the partner is a generous person; sex will be great for both.

Great point, Monique! "Generous" has great benefits. It works out to being interested in pleasing your partner and less interested in "just getting off." Generous is very much worth your time because it tends to lead to your partner being generous to you.

I would imagine it's partly because dancing requires some creativity, comfort with how you look doing something, and grace, all which I imagine are useful in sex... that said... the only place I really dance is in a mosh pit... where it doesn't matter how you look.

Can you upload some video of you dancing? I'd like to see you dance.

Thanks!
