Help Me. What's that Sound Technology?

A while back there was a thread on a sound tech that was like surround but stranger... more depth. Close your eyes and it was freakish. What was that?
I searched, but can't find it.

I know what you're talking about. It's recorded using microphones built into ear-shaped molds to simulate how the ear affects sound being heard, and so if you use headphones the positioning of the sounds is accurate to when it was recorded. Don't remember what it was called, though.

I'm pretty sure that was it. Sounds like surround sound from regular headphones, right?
