Im in the market for an LCD TV and im doing some price comparisons and company comparisons. The TV I want, Panasonic 32" LCD HD TV, is around $1,500.00 in the stores, but I found it for $950.00 online but I never heard of the company. I got the prices from resellerratings.com. her is the link http://shop.resellerratings.com/PD-3.../FD-96252/SB-2

anyone have any suggested online stores to buy TV's that you or someone you know had a good experience with? I would like to go for the $950.00 price but sounds too good to be true.

thanks for the help and suggestions.

If they're out of Brooklyn, NY, be very, very careful.

Check this out...

I agree with cjrivera. You'll find a lot of apparently cheap deals from online shops all over the east coast, but Brooklyn, NY shops in particular. Some of these shops sell gray market goods. Another "scam" I encountered was they'll take your order, "hold" it, call you and tell you that the low price is only available if you also buy something else. Also note that those reseller ratings can be manipulated (i.e., shop gets people to write fake reviews on their behalf). Be careful and remember: if the deal sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

I'd suggest buying from a reputable dealer like B&H Photo and Video or J&R.

Nothing wrong with places in Brooklyn, just make sure they have plenty of good reviews, enough so that it's clear the reviews aren't just written by employees. I bought my TV from a place in Brooklyn and had a good experience, don't remember the URL tho.

no matter what/where you buy, make sure it comes with ON SITE service if the TV is too big for you to easily transport to/from a repair shop.

Costco is the best choice. If it ever dies, just bring it back for a full refund.

Don't buy grey market goods imported from another country (normally sold in NY). You'll get owner's manuals in a foreign language. I got my cell phone that way, and the date is in European format (ex. 22/11/06) and the time is in 24 hour time (ex. 17:59). While I can still use it, it's just annoying.
