Variable - usually a combination of wholesale market (Haymarket in Boston) + Whole Foods

Don't try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal.

Multiple choice would have made sense.

Yep. It's an unfortunate reality that the sparse existence of farmers markets (e.g. only once weekly during the day) makes it very difficult to buy locally, even if it's what you want to do. Small shops are similarly hard to find.

I buy all my shopping from organic or independent farmers (within reason).
I buy my milk and stuff from supermarkets. But bread, vegetables, meat, and such are always organic and from a local farmer. Always.
we don't have time to stop for gas

The one I went to all the time is called Farm Fresh.

Farm Fresh - When Only the Very Best Will Do!!

They have them only in the Hampton Roads area in VA.

I do the majority of shopping at a locally owned supermarket called Harvest Market. Which happens to be in the same center as my office. When I can, I buy things from the Farmer's Market, but it's hard to get to since when I get off work they are shutting down.

I buy all my meats from a friend who has a butcher shop. Only time I go to Safeway is after 11pm (when Harverst closes) and only for beer or rum.
I like my water with hops, malt, hops, yeast, and hops.
