I didn't enter, but that's because I honestly didn't have any ideas for a dream app. I can do pretty much anything I want with the apps I have.

I wonder how many people submitted:

Half-Life 2, but for Mac.

I imagine CharlesS didn't enter for the same reason I didn't — I could make more money doing it myself.

If I had a good idea I'd write it myself.

I couldn't think of anything.
I think this competition could work out really nicely, we could get some great apps out of this. I hate to be like this, but I hope the development of the apps does not go the same way as the creation of the macthemes.net shapeshifter theme competition.

For people who aren't aware. Macthemes.net (same guy as this) held a competiton for themes for shapeshifter (make mac os look different) and some of the winning themes never saw the light of day.
Phill Ryu (macthemes.net guy) has said judging and final development will be using that old competition as a building block and they don't see it going the same way.
I hope it doesn't. I'm sure the winners will get their prizes regardless, but it would be kinda sad for the winning apps never to be developed.

I think PassIt sounds too awesome.
