I am considering doing this, my dentist uses a process called zoom, takes one hour and supposedly works great. it's $400 and they will finance 6 months interest free. anyone done this, if so what are your thoughts?

Don't do it. I used to work in the dental industry, and teeth whitening is a stupid concept brought about by hollywood elite. Basically it will destroy a layer of enamel on your teeth, making them more prone to staining in the future. Your teeth are basically porous, and all these whitening schemes don't last, and actually end up looking worse in the long run. Save your money, and brush your teeth twice a day, maybe 3 times a day including right after lunch if you are able to. Never let cola sit on your teeth.

Just rinse your mouth out after each, and it won't be a huge problem. Again, teeth whitening is bad news, and it's only temporary.

I asked a good dentist I used to have about whitening my teeth and he said the expensive process you would pay $400 for in an office is a waste of money and is no more effective than something like Crest White Strips. I used those and they worked well.

I use whitening toothpaste but like Dino/Ca$h said, my orthodontist long ago said not to do it because it eventually destroys the enamel because the bleaching process is very harsh on teeth.

I know a lot of people who just used white strips and it did just a good of a job at the $600 dentist procedure.
