Should the poll just ask:

"Are you an Asian teenage girl?"

Yes
No

Popular with non-teenage non-Asian girlz too, esp. if you count phone enclosures with custom graphics.

Incidentally the girl that made me make this poll is Korean. She is 28 though, so she's no teenager any more.

Was she an Asian teenager?

P.S. I agree that it's VERY common amongst Asian girls, but I see them all the time on phones owned by non-Asians, by people older than 19.

I've seen Asian guys with this stuff too, but so far never a non-Asian guy. I've read about rap dudes who have that stick-on bling though.

In Japan and Korea, it's also quite common among guys, too. When I was visiting Seoul in 2004, we met some nice Korean students and they gave us an omamori (no idea what they call it in Korean).

I've had two, one from Japan, the other from Korea. I've lost the Korean one, though

Nope, but I'm fascinated by Asia, I love it there. Many people here think it's kinda gay, but who cares.

Well, I've never had a problem getting across that I'm attracted to girls

Asians are strange sometimes, middle-aged Japanese women can be perverts (… a gush of memories runs through my head now …).

My 28-year-old Japanese friend made her own cell phone jewelry. It actually looks pretty cool.

No, I don't. But I've been given cell phone jewelry three times now. All three times by Japanese girls. Definitely an Asian thing, I think.

The one was actually pretty cool, and I put it on the phone for a few weeks. It was these highly-polished little river stones.

Not like that, but my wife and I used to have small figurines that we'd attach to our cell phones. It was a practical matter: hers and mine look the same, so we needed some other way to distinguish them.

Unfortunately, our current cell phones don't seem to have anywhere to put them, so we've had to do without them. Thus far it hasn't been much of an issue, but it hasn't been very long either.

Well, I think the term `jewelry' is a tad misleading. Guys usually have good-luck charms, nothing as flashy as in the pics posted by the OP.

Then how come we have yet to find an incidence of this jewelry that doesn't involve an Asian girl? Huh? Huh?

cell phone jewelry - Google Image Search

(Incidentally, the first Google result for the search is "Japanese phone straps," so it looks definitely Asian.)

Because many people have trouble distinguishing between girly and gay. I'm pleased to be able to say I have never gotten Asian girls confused with gay men, but many guys do.

Tons of guys at school have a thing for asian women... think I have a chance with them?

Actually I explained why I asian women scare me... they're like iPod nanos, where as normal sized girls have more heft to them like a real iPod. I'm always convinced I'll break an iPod nano.

I don't know, but it's my opinion that nobody should ever go out with a guy who likes Asian women. I'd estimate the chances of him being a tool are about five times higher than the average male (and that's saying something).

What if they're asian?

Hehe, seriously though most of the white guys that I've known who have had a thing for Asian chicks have been kinda... wussies. LIke I mean you know the kind that really wants to rule over the woman but couldn't dare to try it with a "strong white woman". Most of the guys who I've seen really hit it off with Asian chicks are dang short. (Not that I dislike short people, I actually have a bit of a thing for a guy who's a lil short.)
