"This page can only be seen in IE"

Compatibility:
Your web browser needs to support
HTML4.01, CSS2 and JavaScript to correctly view this page.

Use the User-Agent switcher extension for Firefox from here:
http://www.chrispederick.com/work/fi...agentswitcher/
and have your Firefox pretend to be IE 6 or any other browser you like.

Hmmm let's see.. that this is a site that demands you use the crappy MS browser to view its content, yet at the same time it acknowledges two things:

1. that if your browser supports some standards it can read the page, as long as
2. your browser *claims* to be Internet Explorer.

The disclaimer basically says that you need IE, but you don't really if your browser just claims to be IE.

So.. dipshits.

That's not as uncommon as it sounds. You'll now more of that when you grow out of the n00b zone

If you say so.

I, for one, avoid websites that harass me in any way. Their advertising dollars pay for it, so if you don't go there, it'll hurt them.

"This page can only be seen in IE"
Compatibility:
Your web browser needs to support
HTML4.01, CSS2 and JavaScript to correctly view this page.
These two statements are oxymoronically diametric opposites. Any page that utilises proper HTML 4.01, CSS 2, and JavaScript cannot be properly viewed in IE. Idiots.

I guess they want to exploit the many holes in IE and block HTML from loading on a non-IE browser?

I was gonna point that out. IE + CSS = Broken.

Damn it, now I'm in the mood for a Beer Milkshake and Chicken Vindaloo.
