I know this is the wrong forum, but no one is answering in the iMac forum.

I have a 2.1 GHz G5. I desparately need more RAm, but I am confused by DDR vs DDR2. Which do I buy and why?

I can run em, work em and use em, but I am not a hardware person.

Sorry, thanks.

I believe it is DDR2 for that model, but just look it up at crucial.com.

Also, make sure what kind of RAM it needs: DIMM vs SO-DIMM.

Look in the System Profiler. It should list what RAM you need.
