So I was really bored a couple of rainy evenings here in Hiroshima, so I decided to make a couple of little videos to stick on youtube showcasing some Nintendo DS games that have yet to make their way to the US. I made three: Starfox Assault, Rockman ZX, and Mario Basketball 3 on 3. Just me giving my candid opinion on these three games and showing off the gameplay. To be honest, the one for Rockman ZX isn't the best (sucks) but does accurately show how much I dislike this game (after 10 hours of play, still not at all fun).

But enter the fanboys. Clearly I had insulted their Rockman god. Oh did the insults fly. But then I started to mock them. I mean, who wouldn't when attacked by bad grammar spouting middle school students (honestly, 14 year olds are harsh). So I kept mocking them using the comment section of my youtube account until I got the desired result. A Youtube Fanboy Stalker. Now every day I have at least one comment by this guy about how lame I am in every way possible. But to even bate him more I've now started deleting his comments from my user account page. Which has made him quite super angry.

But the fun that comes from fanboy rantings only goes so far as entertainment. My next step is to make a "How to get a fanboy stalker" video.

So long story short, am I a bad person or just someone how needs to spend my evenings studying more Japanese?

http://youtube.com/profile?user=JoshuaZimmerman

(Even better, I got a comment today about how I was too nice on my Starfox review. As opposed to the hate I've been getting for not giving it super cool props.)

How anyone could get their panties in a bunch over a "video game" is still completely beyond my grasp.

To each his own I guess…

report him or something. contact him to propose legal action.

From what it looks like he is a 20 y/o video game nerd that is a control freak and lashes out on people that disagree with him.

Yeah, but where would the fun be reporting him, when mocking him in a public setting would be so much better?

Yeah, rainy season sucks a bit. But then I was living in a dorm, so there always were plenty of things to do

Mario Basketball looks neat. I think I'll be getting that when it comes out here; which after looking at ebgames, seems to be tomorrow. Wednesday will be NHL07 for the 360 (demo is on xbox live right now, it's great), and Lego Starwars 2 (the wife really wants it, and it looks interesting) and now Mario Basketball.

Basketball is quite fun. Though unlocking everything is quite difficult.

(I too want Lego Starwars 2.... number 1 was quite a fun play)

Dude, chill. Dont stop making your review...thats a cool idea, and there's obviously an audience.

Your only mistake, would be getting involved in the comments. i would have steered clear no mater what they posted. But apart from that. it's your opinion, and you dont need to appologize for that.

Cheers

Dude, it's all about the rain jacket and plastic pants.

Not that I should talk, since I barely leave the house when the weather's nice, except to go to class.

Careful about pissing off people in Asia when it comes to computer/internet stuff. Have you been reading about what's going on in S. Korea? The Koreans, at least, take it very seriously. They're call it "cyberviolence." People are being publicly humiliated, losing jobs, etc., due to constant internet harassment. You think Star Wars Kid had it bad...

Don't worry, I only piss off 14 year olds who live in Ohio. You don't mess with Asian gamers. (Heck, I can't even get a game of Gundam Seed in at the arcade without having a group of kids challenge me, and thus, kick me off my machine.)

Sigh, those were the good days. Going to the arcade when I was a kid. None around here anymore.

Hmm... my fanboy has suddenly turned hostle. I am greatly saddened by this change in him.

"And your life is a worthless addition to humanity. Not really necessary, so you should be put on the death row, where you will be tied up. Then, they cut your belly open, taking out your entrails one by one, as you scream pitifully for your life, and then, they behead you and impale your head on a halberd."

I only requested of him that he sign all future posts on my account page as "Susan" or "Sally". Gee wiz, you make a simple request....

Eh, I only ever respond to outrageous fanboy comments out of pure amusement. Its like when Ca$h posts things, no one really takes it personally or seriously. I should really be archiving his comments....

It's the internet. I would not respond to him any more if you can help yourself from it. It's a video game. I think the chances of this person having a serious value of the weight of your life drops sharply when the subject is "video games". As a side note this really seems gives a lot of evidence that video games do in fact cause violence.

I honestly don't really care, I just find it amusing. I read his comments in the morning over corn flakes, as a substitute for a newspaper full of comics. I'm just quite impressed he took it this far. Usually my insulting of poor grammar skills and lack of coherent sentences only results in name calling.

Oh fanboys, what has become of you.

Nah, more like doing things with my friends, オールナイトカラオケ, things like that

(Japanese/Asian women are too submissive and shy for my taste. I find some of them physically attractive, though.)

Nobody should be judged by anything on YouTube. Too many folks get all sparked up about stuff like that. Just look at some of the ill will coming out of the Political Forum right here on MacNN. People take themselves way too seriously, get all twisted up inside, and for what? Remember Lerkfish, a big poster in the Political Lounge? He got so upset with some of the arguments he deleted all his posts and left in a huff. He was seriously unhinged by others and pretty much lost it.

Squid. Super fresh. As in there was a pool of them swimming in front of everyone.

Seems when they slice and dice it all up for you, and you start to eat it, its really not quite dead yet.

I've decided to make a video of "My first youtube fanboy" which will consist of his posts set to the music "Every Breath You Take" by Sting and the Police.

Turns out he's a high school kid from Alabama who happens to be obsessed with anime, Japan, and himself. Oh google, you find all the cool myspace pages.

Ok now that might not make you a bad person rather than pathetically bored.

I do have several hours a day where I'm paid to do nothing but sit in an office, without internet. I mean there is only so much time you can spend studying Japanese, gossiping with your coworkers, and catching up on reading.

But yes, I am rather bored. Though not pathetically. Not yet.
