For 2 days noww I have had this constant ringing in my left ear, it all started about a week ago when my ear had to much wax in it but it seems I pused it to far in with cotton bud, I was then suggested that I use a shower head and a pen in order to blast the wax out, shortly after doing that I got a ringing in my left ear and its been like that for 2 days now.
does anyone know anything about it?

Do not stick pens in your ear. You can get an appointment with an ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat Specialist) or you can first try these over the counter remedies that clear out ear wax. They can be quite effective. Ask your pharmacist.

If you get too much wax, don't use a q-tip or anything else that can push it in. Get an over-the-counter kit to remove it. But at this point, you already learned that. Get to an ENT asap.

My grandmother used to clean my ears by pouring warm hydrogen peroxide in my ear with a blue bulb syringe - gently.
The hydrogen peroxide foams out all of the ear wax.
You simply heat it up in a pot on the stove to about 104f and then have someone put it into your ear with a baby bulb syringe until it runs out onto a towel. Lay your head on a table or countertop with a towel on it and have someone do it only make sure that the hydrogen peroxide is syringed softly and gently into the ear - do NOT blast it in or squirt it in with any force. Just syringe it in and you'll feel it tickling when it foams, then turn your head and let it trickle out and do it again.
Not only does it foam out the ear wax, but it cleans and sterilizes the rest of the ear. Turn your head over and do the other side also.
I do this to my children's ears every once in a while and they have clean ears and by the way, did I mention that it feels great?
It really does.

Please check for the following symtoms:
1. My ear hurts
2. I am susceptible to suggestion
3. A guy had me held down and dropped an alien parasite baby in my ear
If you answered yes to more than one of the questions above, you may be suffering from a Regulan Blood worm. You should probably go see a doctor, though not before betraying your former captain and close friend.

hydrogen peroxide is a very very dangerous chemical to any living tissue. it is a powerful oxidizer and has highly irritable effects on the skin. It can absorb into skin upon contact and create a local skin capillary embolism.
Don't use it on your kids. Or any other kids. Or anything living thing you don't want to kill. This is a rather powerful antiseptic chemical. It kills life. That's what it is used for mainly, asides from bleaching hair.

Is it just my posts that attract idiots? Or is dyslexia just a friggin' common problem around here? Do you understand what I wrote??
hydrogen peroxide kills living cells. you are made of millions of such cells, though your brain only contains one.
This substance is used as a powerful antiseptic, like chlorine. It affects capillaries and extended and continuous use on certain areas destroys these capillaries (yes it kills A PART OF YOU ) and the tissue the capillaries supplied to die.
Don't use it on your body. It is not safe... well in your case, please do. Use it a lot. Every day.

Not to mention there are actually products out there made for breaking up ear wax and cleaning out your ear canal. Much safer.

Exactly.. also children are more sensitive to strong chemicals like hydrogen peroxide than grown adults. One should avoid using strong chemicals on children. Always.

The over the counter stuff is dilluted, and safe to use for disinfecting and such. I've never used it in my ears, but I've rinsed my mouth with it. I'm alive. I think. It tasted like potatoes.

Most Hydrogen Peroxide is extremely "watered" down.
The pure stuff I am sure could kill you, but most brands recommend swishing it in your mouth a few times a month.

Actually over the counter hydrogen peroxide is a safe, cheap way of helping to remove ear wax.
"Patients with an accumulation can apply 2 to 3 drops of an OTC dilute hydrogen peroxide solution, which may atraumatically flush the cerumen from the canal to the external meatus, where it may be wiped away with a washcloth."
THE MERCK MANUAL OF GERIATRICS, Ch. 129, Ear Disorders
"Most cases of ear wax blockage can be treated at home. Mineral oil, baby oil, glycerin, or commercial drops can be used to soften wax in the ear. Detergent drops such as hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide may aid in the removal of wax."
MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia: Wax blockage
"Detergent drops such as hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide may also aid in the removal of wax."
Earwax
Urban Legends Reference Pages: Hydrogen Peroxide
However, as always, it is good to contact your doctor. (And it really doesn't need to be an ENT for ear wax removal. Most primary care physicians can easily do a warm water irrigation and treat most cases of cerumen impaction.)

Are you all of your minds, do not walk to the doctor, run.
Why would you take the risk of damaging you hearing, it is mindbogling. You never never touch the inside of your ears, clean the outside but do not touch the inside. You can see but soon will you be able to hear.

Had he not jammed the wax deep into his ear and caused a ringing, I'd go for some of these other suggestions (h.per.) BUT this has gone beyond a wax buildup issue. ENT. don't wait.
