The Phillies and Braves are playing right now on ESPN2. If the Phillies lose, then the Mets clinch a tie for the NL East title, and can win it with a win tomorrow in Pittsburgh. (Which is likely to happen -- have you seen the Pirates this year? I think only the Cubs are more pathetic.)

But I've been hating the Braves for years and years and years now. I just can't root for them to win. It even pains me to watch the game, knowing that infernal tomakawk chany may break out at any moment.

I guess I'll just root for the Phillies to lose, and not think about their opponent. Meanwhile, I'll get my big, shaped-like-a-baseball head ready for tomorrow.
