EARTHLINK TEAMS WITH ICHAT TO CHAT-ENABLE THE INTERNET

I stumbled upon that page. It's about a company called iChat Inc and their iChat services forming a partnership with Earthlink back in 1996. For those that don't know, the iMac was announce in May of 1998

From what I can gather (via www.webarchive.org) they abandoned "ichat" and became "globalchat" in 2002. I would wager that Apple paid them a nice chunk of change to relinquish the iChat trademark.
