These are the same people who GAVE the first x-number of people requesting it their "Firewire PocketDock" in January (he said, eyeing his PocketDock while typing). They're a pretty nice company to deal with.

Of course, there was a non-trivial shipping fee involved with that deal, which was why I didn't do it. It wasn't huge, but enough to make me think whether I would really use it.

That does sound like a decent deal on the adapter though. I see that it works with shuffles and full-sized iPods as well. Actually, I think it was designed for the Shuffle, but the addition of the USB port allows it to power any iPod that can get power from USB. They're probably phasing them out now that the shuffle's form fact has changed.
