just noticed that the following machines are no longer at the refurbished section on the apple store: - 1.83Ghz/15"/512MB macbook pro
- white macbooks (only blackbooks are available now)
does this mean the stock of those items is drying up? could it foretell of some changes going on with new releases?

items come and go frequently from that section... I would imagine it would all depend on their stock...
the fewer the better I guess... means the product has few problems!

i c ... yeah ... i am waiting to see what happens next week w/ photokina before dropping money right now on a macbook or mbp ... i think photokina might see some new machines, which means the refurbs might come down in a few weeks or even have newer chip machines.
has anyone had any refurb horror stories? glowing reports?

Almost all (except my now-sold 12" G4) my macs have been refurbs - I'd get one, and put the savings (at least, on a laptop) to AppleCare

Don't try to outweird me, I get stranger things than you free with my breakfast cereal.

Do you count software as products ?
I think they released new versions of Pro apps before...
