I so want one of those for my dog, or my sister's dog... At $40 it's a little much for a day or two of giggles, though.

On the day they came out, the local morning show DJ here went out and tried to buy a whole bunch. He figured he'd buy loads and eBay them. It seems like everyone had that idea too.

The morning show guy paid $200 for his first one.

That is actually pretty good engineering. Especially the way it stands up at the end.

I don't get between a grandparent and granddaughter when it comes to gifts.

I'd rather break up a fight between pit bulls.

Remembering back to 10 years ago it seems like the first tickle em elmo was a HUGE success during christmas, and then just died off right after. I guess it's just the thrill of getting a *hot* toy for christmas. Not for me... I'll spend my $100 elsewhere.

All the christmas fads are like that .

Its a depressing measurement of the human condition.

That said, its quite creepy how this thing can stand back up.

Elmo by himself is an OK gift. But any electronic Elmo is in the same category as a drumset as a Christmas gift-something to be avoided like the plague.

But that poor beagle was mighty confused, wasn't he?
