OK, just for fun...

1. Spend a Million Dollars in ONE DAY.
2. All sales must be final, so no real estate type things that can't be finalized THAT DAY.
3. No dumping bucks such as paying someone $100K for a tricycle or something.
4. No Hiring someone to carry your stuff or whatever.
you must physically HAVE the items in your posession, NOT in the mail, or delivery truck.

I'd buy jewery, and Big ticket home entertainment stuff, like esoteric 300 watt per channel power amps, Used cars, like BMW's, and also I'd buy a big truck to haul big furniture and artwork back to my house.

I'd buy a nice collection of Ferraris, then I'd buy a crapload of electronics and go home and play games where I drove Ferraris.

What's the problem, just go to a car dealership, any dealership at that, and buy their lot.

Why stop at just the card? You can probably pay to have him appear at your birthday party and do magic tricks. Just make sure that you're careful, he has the tendency to steal stuff when you're not looking.

I would spend the money in seconds: a Concours quality 1971 Ferrari Daytona convertible.

After which I would probably lose my license in nearly the same amount of time.

I'd help out my new friend in Nigeria and be eligible for $millions more.

"'Jelly Hat' sounds silly," I told Prince. "How about something poetic, like 'Raspberry Beret.'"

I guess I'd split it between GE, MSFT, HAL and AAPL and maybe a couple of BRK-A.

Do you really think MSFT is going to perform like the others?

I think MSFT will be around for a while. I'm not sure what form it will be in. It may go the way of GM or F, or it may morph into something else. I'd still bet on it.

I was wondering when someone would bring up Brewster's Millions...

I'd have a heck of a shopping spree at an Apple store, buy a car for me and my wife, pay off my house, buy my best friend a Harley and pay off what he owes on his bar/liquor license.

I'd drop 500k on a Cirrus airplane. Then I'd fly to NYC and go on a shopping spree. The Apple Store SoHo would be my first stop. Hmm, looks like I still have some money left over. Where is the nicest place I could stay at for the night?

1) Decent car (100,000-200,000)
2) Drive to nearest place that sells gold / silver / platinum
3) Buy as much as I have money left to do so, minus about 100 for gas back to my house
4) Play with my precious metals
5) The next day, sell them back, at a loss sadly
6) Drive with nice car to bank(s) (each will only insure about 250,000)
7) Enjoy the interest pay-outs, don't touch the 800-900k
yep.

Pretty easy for me. I live next to a Harley, Toyota, and Lamborghini dealership.

I dislike Harleys and Lamborghinis, but I could just sell them later.

It's not hard to spend that kind of money if you're a coin collector. This one is worth $1.4 million:

Two Mac Pros with two 30" displays would be a good place to start...

Apple Spree - Two 24" iMacs, Two 15" MBP (one for the wife), two 24" iMacs, two 80 GB iPods, two Nanos, two Shuffles, loads of software...

- Pay cash for that $400,000 house a few miles away from my church
- Pay off wife's car (sell it later) and buy her dream Lexus
- Every Star Trek DVD set and all the other DVD sets I've wanted
- 50" HDTV
- XBox 360 (why not?)
- 30 year membership at the country club where I can only afford to play golf at every few months
- New golf clubs, shoes, and other equipment
- $100,000 tithes to my church (I'm a good little Christian boy)

I have no idea how much I'd have left, but I'm sure I could think of ways to spend it.

I'd buy $1 million in gold bullion.
