I have a mac mini, macbook pro, home brewed PC, a 12" powerbook.
2 lcd displays, one connected to the MBP and the other to a KVM switch involving
PC and mac mini. 12" powerbook for the road.

How many do you have ? What do you do with the old one when you upgrade ?
I am thinking of selling some stuff off here on marketplace soon.

If I was home, I could count them, but almost 20 or so computers, and maybe 5 monitors.

Lets see, I have 8 (9 counting my work laptop), 6 macs one PC and one old retired dell laptop.
three of the macs are old mac classic type models, such as the mac512k, mac classic and color classic.

One of these I may paint black, get a 9" display and throw my mini in there - seems like a cool mod.

Two technically.

My 733, my dad's B&W 300 (that I handpicked and constantly update for him...so I consider it mine)

17" Failing Apple Display
17" HP mx703 hooked to my dad's 300
19" Viewsonic Proffesional Series hooked to my G4

I also have an extra Lexmark Printer, and my old(er) Umax Astra Scanner that my current Epson replaced (damn Umax and their no OSX drivers!!!))

So not many yet, but I intend of saving my G4 when I upgrade (In like 4 years when my loans are paid off)

I've got 3. A 1.8GHz G5 PowerMac as my desktop, a Dell laptop from work, and a MacBook for my wife's business. The MacBook replaced an older Dell laptop, which I sold last week.

I currently own a 2Ghz white Macbook which I connect to a Dell 2407 monitor. Unless an Xbox 360 counts as a computer...

Ha ha, aaardal, my wife does the same! Hence my post and poll. I want to show her that 50% of people
who responded to this poll have more than 4 computers!

By the way, what do you guys do with all the computers lying around ? Do you just let them
gather dust on your shelves or do you run servers off them ?

I had about 14 until I got rid of them after this summer. I have a desktop and a laptop I use regularly, two pismos in pieces, a couple duos, a 5300, and a 1400 that sit in a pile, and everything else was given away.

I too have a wife that complains about the number of computers in our house. I only have four at this time. One is running a weather station, one is for our kids, and I use the other two for specific tasks.

Now lets count how many pairs of shoes she has . . .
