24 Day 6 (uber spoilers)

So, with January coming soon, I decided to check out potential plot points for this season of 24. With Jack on a slow boat to China at the end of last season, I keep wondering how the hell they're going to get Jack back in LA with travel time from one end of the Earth to the other being so long.
Doing a little research, I came up with the following:
Day 6 takes place around 2 months after the end of season 5.
Jack's in China still
There were rumors of filming in NYC, but that's not coming to be.
Here's the kicker:
SPOILERS
10 nukes have ALREADY hit the US, and Jack's job is to find out who did it, not prevent the attacks as he did before.
This should be interesting, if true.

That would be really stupid...Unless the attacks came from China, theres no way for Jack to find out who did it, because 80% of the show would be him traveling. Not to mention having 10 nukes hit the US is quite a heavy attack, the country would be in shambles...

I expect Jack to encounter a nuclear warhead on a flying ICBM, shouting "drop the gun now".
Seriously, I'd happiely (<-?) drop Prison Break and BSG (the only shows I watch) for an early start of 26 S6. I'm so hoocked on this show.
