Since people LOVE drama, I figured I'd tell everyone that it was NOT a plane that crashed into the building on 71st St. in NYC, it was a helicopter.

A few seconds ago newschannel4.com said it was a helicopter. Now it's "a helicopter or small plane".

Was it 525 E 72nd, or 525 E 71st? My sister lived in the latter until July.

Hmmm...NORAD was tracking the plane and just let it enter NYC airspace and hit a building.

The federal government is not capable of keeping America safe. Here is yet another example.

FBI spokesperson for the Joint Terrorism Task Force in NYC says there is no reason to believe this was terrorist related at this time.

No airports have been closed in the area and no air traffic has been affected.

It's the Bel Aire Building, 28 floors of condominiums above several stories of commercial businesses, including a medical center of some sort. The crash occurred almost 20 stories below the top floor.

Wow, they solved that quickly. Fire still burning, don't know what type of aircraft it was yet we know it isn't terrorists. Blah.

It's kind of like how if you spit in your customer's food, it's a lose-lose situation whether you did it to spite him or just due to a lack of respect.

More than 100 FDNY vehicles on scene and a fourth alarm has just been announced. Temporary flight restriction of one mile around crash scene. The flames are reported extinguished but survivors still reported trapped.

Jokes set aside, what happened to defending the homeland? In fairness, this could have been a helicopter and people just don't yet know. If it was a plane, how did it fly into New York at such a low altitude?

Questions that should be asked...and answered...

NORAD reports fighters on CAP over several US cities just in case despite the multiple declarations this was an accident. One eyewitness described the craft as a small white, four passenger airplane, not a helicopter.

I think it's about as good a time as any to point out the fact that today is 10-11-06. 9-11, followed by 10-11. I don't know if this is terrorism, but I have been concerned about the possibility of a strike coming on this date.
