OK so OS X likes to NOT copy when you tell it to, so you often end up pasting the wrong thing. I accidentally pasted a text diamond symbol into safari and it friggin loaded!!!

Cute. Unicode URL. I don't think I've had the pleasure before.

Interesting.

I tried the other suits, and none of them were valid domain names. Apart from ♣, which took me to some German search engine search for "luck."

Maybe somebody should register ♥.com, seems like a good idea for a dating site.

Doesn't anyone remember the big deal made about this a couple years ago? Someone made a fake paypal.com using an IDN that displayed exactly as paypal.com. Luckily it was only a proof of concept. So all the windows apologists rang their bells about how "safe" IE actually was because it was the only browser that couldn't load it. Not surprising, though, as it's a another standard IE fails at. It just wasn't implemented well in compliant browsers until the possibility of spoofing was realized.

i don't think it's proper unicode. oh well. there are some cool ones still available. cool in the visual sense. not so cool if you ever want someone to visit your site.
