Let's face it, Spike TV is nothing more than a homophobic, macho pig network!!!! So, why don't they just get this all over with!
**NEW ON SPIKE**** Six Shooter:
We put two men in a bar each armed with a loaded pistol and the show is over when one shoot the DEAD.
Be honest people! Be honest Spike. The only way you junards can REALLY show your disgusting machoness is who's got the biggest guts to kill the other.

A network that has shows about adding horsepower to classic cars an continuous James Bonds movies? You consider that homophobic? So whats your new show idea for the Lifetime network?

Well then why does Spike advertise these redneck, beer-guzzling, girls are whores types of TV shows? If Spike is what you say, why don't they air shows like "Queer As Folk' so Spike can appeal to the gay men demographic?

That's a bit ridiculous. A network comes up with an image and sticks with it. Just as Discovery, Animal Planet, Lifetime, TNT, etc have done. Why would they mess with their demographic by airing shows that don't appeal to the mass of their audience?
Men (gay or straight) watch Spike for what it is and when they want to watch another kind of programming they change the channel. Is Spike supposed to play some fashion shows for women and some documentaries for intellects as well?
Don't like it, don't watch it. That's the way of life.

Why do they even air Star Trek?? Outside of the Viacom owns Paramount and also fosters CBS Networks connection, why aren't Star Trek shows on Scifi channel where it's more genre appropriate and where Star Trek actually belongs)?

It's on G4, as well. So don't worry, they have the nerd base covered.
Also, there is no all-seeing Emperor of Cable to make sure that genre-appropriate television is evenly distributed around the cablesphere.

If Spike were a macho pig network, Pam Anderson's Stripperella would've been a smash hit. Instead it bombed and went away. That's leaves more free hours for us nerds to get our DS9 fix.

And get the DS9 fix we do... Sometimes I wonder if they show anything but Star Trek
Spike is probably the opposite of Lifetime or Oxygen... No one gets mad at women for fitting into their stereotypes...

Oh please!!! Lifetime's got its share of primo idiocy:
1--the whole Helen Reddy "I am woman. Hear me roar" delusion of superiority mentality,
2--That "Angela's Eyes" "I can tell whnen you're lying." bull puckey--She wouldn't have survived any better in the Garen Of Eden than Eve did. It doesn't matter that she's an FBI agent. Just as the serpent fooled Eve, Angela would've eaten the whole apple .
3--They promote heresy by airing NBC's "Medium" and if that's not bad enough, they've got a female version of John Edwards lined up to air--Lisa Williams. Male or Femaie, soothsaying, mediumship and talking with the dead is heresy.
4--Their weekly "some man raped me and kidnapped my daughter" movie of the week farce.
So, Lifetime's got it's stupidity too

1) How does airing Medium promote heresy?
2) If you don't like the subject matter of the network, change the channel. Jeez, next people are going to complain that TSN or ESPN show to many sporting shows.

I dont know why I spent my time reading this entire thread. But, since I did I'll put my two cents in. Who cares. Seriously? Why dont you write a letter to Spike if it matters so much? Or just dont watch it. There are so many other channels to watch its ridiculous. Or you can always waste time talking about how spike is so "homophobic" and "manly" on a Mac forum... The choice is yours.

Are you familiar with the Bible? Are you aware of How God (in both New Testament and Old Testament) despises and warns against fortune telling, those who talk to dead spirits, those who are false prophets? God, has unkind words and punishments for those who induge in occult, psychic exercises, fortune telling, channelling ("Medium") and other such unbiblical practices.

Let me ask you then, how do I send a letter to a network that my letter gets noticed and my appeals get the attention? I'm sure networks just laugh their arzes off and throw letters away since their so big and powerful, they just do as they please.

Does Spike have the world's worst video quality?
I like the fact it airs old CSI episodes, but they look and sound like @ss. Almost all of my other cable channels are much better quality. It's almost like they down rez everything to iTunes 6's 320x240 and add noise, and use 80 Kbps MP3 for audio.
Maybe we just get a bad feed for Spike up here in Canada, but other US channels are much better quality.

Stop trying to mould the world to your own image. Did jesus spend his time pointing fingers at heretics? Its very easy to condemn what you perceive as evil but its far more difficult to offer another path. I'd also recommend you reread the bible; specifically search out anything relating to the use of power or "magic". Its quite interesting.
I've got the distinct feeling you're not only happy in your ignorance but also that your entire world is built upon it so I doubt you're going to read this properly. I also hesitate to peg you as a religious fanatic since you mention homosexuality in an almost positive sense. Yes some christians are homosexual and some hate "magic" but both in the same person? Unlikely.
Either way I'll take being a passionate heretic over a misguided zealot any day.

My answer would be IF you believe in the things you listed above, don't watch Medium.
For people who do not believe in what you listed above (and given the fact that it is a top rated show I am guessing there is a lot of them) it is not heresy... it is just a good tv show.
Let me ask you then, how do I send a letter to a network that my letter gets noticed and my appeals get the attention? I'm sure networks just laugh their arzes off and throw letters away since their so big and powerful, they just do as they please.
And what if your appeal did get their attention? What would you expect them to do? They have built a business model, and have successful targeted an audience.
If you don't like it, you as a consumer can choose not to watch it. That is your power as a consumer.

Like what? What references are you talking about?
Witchcraft, as in the pretended, Halloween, cultural development just plain doesn't exist. The double double boil and bubble witch is an outgrowth of popular culture run amok.
The beliefs of Wicca, as some cite to be the witchcraft they so hate and detest, are so far removed from the above mentioned witchcraft that on ANY examination of the two, one would find few common elements.

I was unaware witchcraft was prevalent at all.
