And I think I'd have a lot more elbow room if there were only 300"K" people in the U.S. There are over ONE MILLION in my metro area alone. Didn't you really mean "300 million" people?

Anyway, the demographic information on how this population is distributed is more meaningful than just the "how many" data. Unlike a lot of other "developed" countries, the U.S. still has a broad range of ages strongly represented-from young to old-whereas much of Europe is aging quickly and losing the young age groups. This is not good for those countries.

Personally, I hope it's an immigrant from Mexico. I'm sick of all the talk of border troops and walls and all that. Having the 300 millionth person be a Mexican immigrant would make for some fun political rhetoric.
