Made by Activision, who also did X-Men Legends. You get a large choice of different heroes. I've been waiting for a game like this for a while. It can also be played over Live. Hopefully, it won't be like the X-Men game in which even though you had four people playing, you all had to be in the same screen. The release date is 10/26.
Justice League Heroes
This one isn't an action RPG, but more of an action adventure. The hero selection isn't as large, but the graphics look pretty good. This one comes out in two days.
I've got both of them on my Gamefly que and I'll write more about them after I beat them.

I'm really excited for Marvel Ultimate Alliance ever since I got my xbox360.
I never finished X-Men Legends and it doesn't work on the 360.

Justice League Heroes failed to deliver. Took about 5 hours to beat. The powers were limited and many were useless. The graphics were good and the sound was decent. The unlockables were crap.
5/10

I downloaded the Tony Hawk's Project 8 demo from Xbox Live this weekend and I am *really* impressed.
I gave up on this series after the Underground and American Wasteland versions. I felt like they had gone far from the originals and, in my opinion, became far too outrageous and thus I lost interest.
The demo of Project 8 has impressed me. I spent most of the weekend playing it over and over again.
One thing I really liked is how it is a giant freeskate and you talk to people for challenges and there are other people's grinds, or manuals, etc on the stage and you can try beat them.
The graphics are really good, and the Nail The Trick mode is too cool. When you're in the air you can click both analog sticks in (not difficult to pull off - coming from someone who *hates* having to click the analog sticks) and then the left stick controls your left foot and the right your right. You can push the stick in a direction and that foot will spin the board in that direction. You can chain spins together and even go into this mode during combos.
The demo gives me the impression that they have tried to take it back to the original Tony Hawk Pro Skater of the original games.
I can't wait until this is released.

Got Marvel Ultimate Alliance and have to say it's really good. 9/10 Not as many powers as X-Men Legends 1 or 2, but a lot more characters.
Highly recommended if you have an xBox or 360, as the Live play is great.

I always try to live by a rule with most games : rent first. I didn't follow that credo with Marvel UA because I'm a long-time Marvel book fan, wanted a co-op game to play and it got good reviews.
Ugh. Thrown from an HD projector, we struggled to make out the characters while in play. They jumble together in most fighting situations and you can't tell who is who. The controls seemed unintuitive, as well. After about 10 minutes of playing, we gave up and I'm trading it in for about a $20 loss. I so wanted to like this game but it was nothing but frustration from the beginning for us.

Sounds like you need to play it on a normal tv (non-projection). The controls is almost exactly like XML 1 & 2, except it now has a block button.
It's too bad you don't like it. I always rent before buying, which is why I have a Gamefly account. If you want, I can send you a referral.
