You could pick one of the many that is supported by macam.

The problem is that even though these webcams work with the macam driver, iChat will ignore them. iChat AV only works with Firewire webcams to promote the sales of iSights (although it works with all Firewire webcams not just the iSight – good luck finding a cheap one).

There is shareware called "iChatUSBCam" that hacks iChat to recognize USB webcams.

i have a creative webcam pro ex bought for 10 bucks off craigslist thing doesn't work with macam for some reason, there is a driver for it but when i installed it i was unable to surf websites in any browser weird i know. I uninstalled the driver everything is fine now.
