Stephen Lynch is hilarious, love all his albums. Especially Superhero. He is great live, I recommend everyone check him out.

Thank you for not adding Louis Black to this list. I just don't find him funny. He's just cranky and loud. It's like listening to my father when he gets all wound up.

Stephen Lynch is funny, but his stuff gets old once you've heard it and he's been playing the same songs forever.
My vote's for Dave Chappelle from the ones listed and the ones I have seen. He's consistently funny and his timing is great.

I'll tell you what, Chappelle's 'For What Its Worth' hs to be one of the funniest hours of stand-up I've ever seen. Like an incredibly dirty Bill Cosby (Who's 'Himself' set is legendary).

Anyways, my vote went to Mitch. I loved the guy. I'm a Gaffigan fan as well though.

Hey jawbone, mind saying which joke it was? If you remember I'd be interested to know. Also, Pierre, who is that guy and how do you know that was before Dane Cook's joke?
I'm not saying he doesn't steal jokes, I have no idea. Very funny guy though his stand up had me cracking up.
I voted for Dave Chappelle though. Dane Cook gets annoying after hearing him a few times, Chappelle is always hilarious.

Gaffigan is good, but I haven't seen new material out of him in a while.
He absolutely slayed me when he made a Conan appearance. His glasses piece is priceless.

The flipping the bird joke.
Seinfeld finished it off with "giving the toe" being more offensive because it required more work, while Dane wrapped it up with "suck my back." The build ups were identical.
Dane is a nice guy, from all indications. He shot a movie with Kevin Costner in my area. My wife and I got the heads up from one of her co-workers, so we went down to the set and hung out. We didn't get to speak to them directly, but they were friendly with everyone there.

Even though Mitch isn't really recent, I still voted for him. No one can top his delivery and timing. It's amazing.
I think that was one of the first places I saw him, I couldn't stop laughing.
I agree about Louis Black, he's kind of irritating.
Chapelle's show is usually funny, but I couldn't watch more than about 15 minutes of 'For What It's Worth.' It was just irritating and gross, not very funny at all IMO.

The first voice is Louis CK which was performed in 2001; the second is Dane Cook from 2003. It's commonly known amongst comic circles that Dane rips material.
Dane is ok. i think he stands out because of his high energy act, not the jokes he uses.

I think Mencia's stand up is funny. I think his show is garbage. It's too much "hey guess what im gonna do...nobody's going to like it because its not politically correct...oh man i'm bad...[insert racist joke]...god wasnt that funny...i'm a rebel." annoyyyyying. he tries to emulate chappelle and i don't think it works for him.
intereseting about dane cook though, never knew any of that. anyone heard of daniel tosh? he's great too.
