Hey, I had an interview at the Apple Store, two Fridays ago. I had to fill out an online application, and a background check. I called last Monday and she said she hadn't recieved my information yet but would call when she did. Im dying with anticipation how much longer should I wait to call. I thought I would today. It's been a week.

If the person said they would call, you shouldn't call for at least another week.

It's one thing to seem eager, but it's another to seem obsessive.

Thanks. She said she would call but you know how that goes. Ive left messages for her in the past that she's never returned. How long can a background check take?

A background check? Are you applying to work for a computer store here or a school? I didn't know they administered background checks for computer stores. Are you sure she didn't say credit check?

I originally filled out an online profile, they called me up for an interview, she then had me fill out an online application and a background verification through a website called hireright. So now Im just waiting nervously by the phone. Oh and its for the Apple Store in Chicago.

Did they tell you when they'd get back to you? I'd give them a week from that date, then call.

If it weren't for background checks, the Apple Store would be opening the gate for some hip-looking, smooth-talking illegal immigrants.

Lol. Well I was just wondering how long it should take. Any Apple Store employees want to elaborate how you got hired.
