I've gone once, 2 years ago, and I missed going again to the theater showing (I had an important exam to prepare for). Has anyone gone this year?

I've never had a chance to go. My mom, however, has gone close to 50 times.

Only once this year. I went quite a few times last year. Tucson, AZ has a pretty good show (and was actually the host for the international RHPS convention this year... crazy, huh?)
Honestly though, it's getting pretty old. I think I may be getting ready to move on permanently.

I've known way to many supremely irritating people who go every week to every associate it with anything positive ever again.

The last time I saw it in a theater, I had to leave because the "audience participation" was dangerously out of control. Throwing hard boiled eggs? Where'd they get that crap? I was very disappointed. But when it came out, I got the 25th Anniversary edition DVD set, so I can watch either the U.S. or U.K. release whenever I want to (difference? Columbia's nipples).
For the record, I FIRST saw RHPC in 1978, and introduced a good number of people to it through the years. I've been showered with toast crumbs, confetti, rice, squirt guns, and who knows what else, shone my light when appropriate, and otherwise participated pretty actively. My collection of movies mentioned in SFDF is still pretty sparse, but that's because so few of them are available on DVD OR VHS. I'm still working on it though.
