You know what really grinds my gears? When I ask somebody a question and they immediately say "What?", as if they didn't hear me, but then answer my question immediately afterwards.

People complaining about trying to study late into the night but also explaining that they have a bunch of other stuff going on like a TV show they're really paying more attention to than their studying really grinds my gears. Seriously.

Thats the problem with college, studying can be hard to concentrate on, especially philosophy

Oh, same here. So I reply to them with another "What?" and in the time it takes me to say that, they realize what I said in the first place.

They weren't focussing their attention on you - they were thinking about boobies or something.
Try starting with "oi!" to get their attention before asking the question.

This place doesn't have porn. You know, that really grinds my gears. Where in the bible does it say that a man can't fire off some knuckle-children in the privacy of his own neighbor's living room while his neighbor's at work because I don't have a DVD player? Well, I don't know where it says it because the Bible was way too long to read!

You know what really grinds my gears? Toll Roads.

I was on the NJ Turnpike a few weeks back, It was backed up all to the hell. The reason? The tollbooths were all backed up and going slow as ****. Great, so I have to pay for the opportunity to be stuck in traffic for hours on end.

Thanks NJ !!

Driving in NJ really grinds my gears. literally. Stopping (well, I guess now with EZ-pass it's just slowing down) for all those tollbooths on the Garden State is kind of silly. And don't get me started on why they don't let you pump your own gas there...

HAHA! Last year I was in Myrtle Beach, SC for a couple weeks. On the way home my GF and I had a couple ask us if we knew how to pump gas. And of course the first thing I asked was "Are you from NJ?" Turns out, they were. . . . sad really

I'm sorry, but I'd really love to see where your Mac mini with Intel Integrated Graphics "smokes" their Pentiums (which nearly all Pentium-based systems today ship with a dedicated graphics card.) Please do share.

Or anyone in general.... People who can't drive manuals make me sick. Unless of course they have a valid reason.

Also guilty.

I hate people that don't have a clue about computers who think they know more than me, then they find out they were wrong and make up an excuse about how they were right or something.

On Rumor's suggestion, I've come here to explain my dislike of squinty fat people, and slow walking people.

You know when you're walking down the street, and you want to get around a slow moving person? But that person keeps changing speeds, and moving from left to right? And when that person is fat, it's difficult to get around him or her anyways.

The icing on the cake, as it were, is when you finally pass them and catch a glimpse at their face, and that have that irate, squinty look, as if you've come too close to them and violated their personal space.

It's that big-cheeked squintiness that gets me the most. That indicates that at one point, they were probably skinny, but their own moral turpitude has caused them to balloon into what they are.

Another thing I strongly dislike are nerdy people at the gym who rest on the equipment they are using. When I finish a set, I stand up, and either walk around for a minute, or stand by the machine/bench and listen to my iPod, allowing other people to work in a set.

Anyways, that's all.
