Since typing ain't easy and one of my shift keys is broken I'll make this brief.

Saturday night i attended Beerfest in prov. on the way back i was given a ten finger boost to reach a t-shirt someone had thrown on a bus (don't ask). I went up and straight back down an busted my chin open, luckily my arms caught the fall. Unluckily, i managed to fracture both my radius bones in either arm (the left may not be broken, bu the tissue damage in the x-ray suggested a minor fracture)

So i'm doing everything with my slightly less injured left hand while my right arm sits like a wet noodle.

Now i'm not a big drinker to begin with, but this event has totally soured me on being wasted. Alcohol is such a violent destructive substance to a persons' common sense, so screw it.

I blame nobody but myself for this accident.

As a carpenter, i have great balance..plus i should have know better.

So, i walked out of the hospital with 6 stitches in my chin, an two broken arms, in the pouring rain nonetheless.

p.s. thank god the new firefox has a spell check.

Wow

Hope you recover soon. It's gonna be tough to not be able to work for a while. Hope it doesn't get you into too much hardship financially.

My sympathies.

I've never seriously hurt myself while drunk, but I have fallen quite a few times.
I'm also considering cutting back on my drinking, as my friends are now saying I become a nasty drunk when wasted.

Drinking alcohol should help pass the time.

Hope you get healed up quick! My sister was at a party in college when a drunk freshman tried to pick her up but ended up dropping her and her forehead smashed the edge of a counter...she ended up with something like 70 stitches going from her forehead into her hair. So yeah, I'm not real big on getting drunk.

I myself LOVE beer, but I VERY rarely get drunk.

On a side note, I've often found that alcohol simply amplifies the personality that's already there.

Well, I took it as funny as in "I laugh about my own behavior". That's a good thing.

He also could have blamed the libruals for it.

The first thing i did was laugh. At that time I was dead sober, and you don't hear something like "Mr. Kennedy.....you broke both arms" everyday.

Lefty is doin good though, i hope he's not broken, with any luck this will make me ambidextrous.

To everyone else, thanks for the sympathies, now i must be getting back to watching every dvd i own.

My great Aunt broke her hip last week. She's in the hospital with my portable DVD player and my entire DVD collection. Every time I visit her I can estimate the number of discs she's been through by the amount of hours have passed.

I have the option of going under, or being awake.

I've never had surgery before, any recommendations?
