Au contraire—I found it a most interesting and entertaining read (unlike most interviews one comes across these days).

Unsolicited advertising of external sources, coming from newly registered members, are considered SPAM here.

You might not have intended it that way, but it doesn't change the fact.

If you really wanted to contribute, you should have at least added a few lines of personal opinion.

Is it fake? The questions seem to be a bit amateurish, and it is odd that an unheard of site would score an interview with Jobs. But Jobs's answers seemed real enough.

Although I have a little trouble believing that Jobs would read digg.

So new members cannot post news stories here? Most news stories are external sources.

They can, but if the linked site is nonsense, or if the poster only posts links and no substantial commentary, we kinda view it as spam, as there have been a few blog spammers here lately.

No argument there, its just the blanket statments made by what_the_heck seem a little silly.

well, he/she isn't in charge; so who cares what a member says they think are the 'rules'?

a) Don't link to Digg from this forum just to pull more Diggs. Link directly to the article.
b) It looks fake to me.

It sounds very fake to me. Steve doesn't like to talk about his personal life.

Fake, mostly because I doubt that such an unknown source could score an interview.

Yeah, dude, if the VERY first post of newly registered member points to a link (like Digg) that thrives on click-count, heck, yeah, it's suspicious.

Yes, it was a blanket statement.

In the past at MacNN, 99% of the cases of first posts of newly registered members that point to a link were spam.

It's a blanket statement with an insanely high probability to be true.

It feels very fake. I hate to say it,but Steve isn't that nice... He's more down to business in his interviews.

Something's not right about this interview. Fake? Maybe. Definitely unprofessional. Word association?

The answers sounds like Steve to me. It's just his responses to a more laid back (and yes, amateurish) interview style. It obviously relaxed him a bit more than when he's being interviewed by Time or Newsweek.

Frankly, I think the real Steve would have walked out after the first 5 minutes of this interview.
