So I saw a nintendo commercial and the wii has this funky controller. Now first off I'm not a gamer, I don't own any console games, in fact the last console I ever owned was a atari 2600.

That said, I cannot help but think that this controller is going to doom the console.

For the Macnn gaming community, what's your thoughts on this and do you think it will be enough to compete with the xbox and more importantly the PS3?

I like the idea of a controller that doesn't require four thumbs and an advanced degree in Applied Gameology to use. I'm planning to get a Wii (still hate that name) in lieu of the 360 or PS3 for exactly that reason.

I have nothing wrong with it per se but its a much different controller and to be honest the type that you use your hands with seem more workable,i.e., pressing buttons as opposed to throwing your arms around in various motions and directions.

As stated I'm not one to use a console so that's why I have nothing against it, I was curious as to what the folks who do you use consoles think.

So I saw an Apple commercial and this computer has one button mouse. Now first off I'm not a geek, I don't own any computers, in fact the last device I even owned was 1981 RCA TV.

That said, I cannot help but think that this one-button mouse is going to doom the computer.

No, don't go to that thread. Its worthless. A bunch of people fighting over nothing. No real info to be found there.

As I mentioned I did fully review the Wii and Zelda in that thread while others only contribution is to argue any facts with their opinions on why a problem/downside isn't true.
