Dude, is there anything that doesn't make you worry inappropriately? Are you just an attention whore? STFU and live your life without posting about every inane little irrelevant thing...

The Mac Pro's exterior is made of steel reinforced concrete. If you dropped it off the Empire State Building it would be fine.

Um, alot of people have their computer on the floor. Mine is on the floor.

Needless to say, it is neatly placed on a flat wooden floor right next to the side of my desk, and I often dust it off... but still, it's on the floor.

WTF?? He only posted a few threads so far and I didn't see anything that would warrant such anger against him..

I agree this thread doesn't really belong in a tech-support forum, but it's not worse than "I spilled coffee on my keyboard, I was afraid it would be ruined" or "I accidentally erased a file [...]", etc.

In any way, I don't see how the "attention whore" and the STFU remarks were deserved...

[Edit] Wait.. I thought this was posted in the Power Mac forum.. I think you don't hang out in the Lounge enough if you find this post irrelevant!

Is the Mac Pro visibly crushed? If not, you should be OK — and if it is crushed from your kick, your future career in soccer should pay for a new one.

I wish I could have mine on the desk and show it off, but there is such an INCREDIBLY convenient spot for it just to the left of my desk. You know how they always advertise those office desks that have the little shelf on the side, a few inches above the ground, to put your tower? It's exactly like that, except it's not a few inches off the ground. Also, theres alot of crap on the desk, and I like to have the room, so I put it on the floor. I've had it for about 2 months now, and i'm planning on taking it out of there to dust out the area and dust off the computer (inside and out), pretty soon.
